The National Foundation for the Deaf, Inc. is a coalition of ten consumer and professional member organisations working collaboratively within the hearing loss and deafness sector. We promote the importance of hearing and educate about the impact and consequences of hearing loss and deafness which weaves through and impacts upon every thread of a person's life.

We are seeking a new Executive Assistant who will be responsible for supporting our Chief Executive to deliver the Foundation's Strategic Plan.

Your work will include:

  • 1.

    Providing executive support to the Chief Executive

  • 2.

    Contributing to the administration component of the Annual Business Plan, Operations Plan and Forecast Budget

  • 3.

    Supporting local, national and international initiatives to raise awareness about the impact of hearing loss and the needs of people living with it.

To succeed in this role you will need...

  • 1.

    Proven experience in a EA / PA role, preferably within the NGO / not for profit sector

  • 2.

    Exceptional time management

  • 3.

    Excellent technical (MS Offfice) and power point skills

  • 4.

    Capability to remain calm and efficient under pressure and conflicting demands of the role

  • 5.

    Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

  • 6.

    Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to anticipate the needs of the C.E.

  • 7.

    Professional presentation and the ability to build strong relationships with our supporters, member organisations and various other groups and individuals associated with our work.

  • 8.

    Full drivers licence and clean police record

We are a small, friendly team, highly committed to the work we do and those we support, but we also like to have fun, in a happy and harmonious environment. A great sense of humour, enthusiasm and flexibility is a must!

For the right person this could be a part-time (minimum 30 hours/week) or full-time role, based in our Parnell office. If you know you have the appropriate skills and knowledge, we look forward to hearing from you.
