The message of Hearing Week 2013 is simple: if you or someone you care about has a hearing loss, get help promptly.
A visit to a professional could markedly improve the quality of life for thousands of New Zealanders.
Hearing loss often develops over a number of years and the first step, which can be very challenging, is to actually acknowledge it exists.
This Hearing Week, take the opportunity to:
• help a family member or friend to acknowledge their hearing is not what it used to be
• help them find where to go for a hearing test or support and rehabilitation as required
• help us promote Hearing Week by downloading a poster, or sharing our content on your website.
Together, we can improve the quality of life for thousands of New Zealanders.
