Now is the time to reach out and say #ImHearForYou.
COVID-19 has affected all of our lives. It made many of us feel isolated and alone.
For the Deaf or hard of hearing coping with isolation is a daily struggle, and this has been amplified by COVID-19.
Isolation is a huge challenge, but it’s a problem that we can all help to solve just by making the effort to connect and show our support.
Say I'm Hear For You
By donating $15, you’ll be helping NFDHH to support the most vulnerable people in the Deaf and hard of hearing community by:
Sending out up to 5,000 care packages to those who need them.
Providing a helpline service and online community group to maintain a vital connection with those in need of support.
Offering free New Zealand Sign Language taster classes online. A great way for people to connect and learn new communication skills together.
"Let's support our most vulnerable people through this difficult time."
For the Deaf and hard of hearing, coping with isolation is often a tough and ongoing challenge. It's even tougher right now because of COVID-19. We can all do our bit to let people know they're not alone.
