About the role

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to take this role on while our current Digital & Communications Manager heads off on maternity leave. This will be a 6-month fixed-term position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting in early November 2021. We pride ourselves on being flexible, so there is the option to work from home two days a week or work full-time from our Parnell offices.


You will be a proficient leader and be able to manage a team to bring the best out of each of them. You will be responsible for developing and executing all digital & communication campaigns, marketing activities, including website branding & events and promotional activities. You will be highly creative and an exceptional & savvy storyteller. Expert copy writing skills is a must.


This position forms part of the Senior Leadership team, which reports through to the Chief Executive. You will manage four direct reports, along with working closely with the wider NFHH team.

What we are looking for:

  • Highly developed copywriting experience with examples of work.

  • 5+ years in copywriting, communications, marketing, or journalism (preferred)

  • Digital & Communications experience at a senior level (preferred)

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience (communications, marketing, or journalism)

  • Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking, planning and execution

  • Creative mindset with capability to think outside traditional measures

  • Passionate storyteller, able to tailor messages which resonate with different audiences and are fit-for-channel 

  • Significant experience in email campaign design, delivery, and management

  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms

  • High level of written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Digitally savvy, with demonstrated experience across CMS platforms

  • Strategic thinking that is strongly outcomes focused

  • Inquisitive, actively seeking out and applying leading practices and new ways of working

  • Experience in issues management, including helping identify and manage potential reputational risks

  • Excellent project organisational skills and ability to develop and work to a plan while managing a team effectively

  • Personable with the ability to relate to people from a diverse range of backgrounds

  • Exceptional time management skills, able to manage multiple projects
