The NFD Trust was set up to invest legacies and investments given to us by the public. Guardian Trust manages the funds. Trustees meet four times a year to decide how to distribute the money amongst the many applicants for scholarships, training and projects. A key part of the Trustees' role is to distribute funds in a way that meets donors' wishes.
The NFD Trust supports many activities and causes, and one of the ways we do this is through scholarships and training and development grants.
We have several scholarships and grants available every year. Many of our grants are for Deaf and Hearing Impaired people. But we also have some funding available for people who work in hearing-related areas.
Only New Zealand citizens and permanent residents can receive NFD Trust grants.
