We’re humbled that you’re considering leaving a gift to The National Foundation for the Deaf.
A gift in your Will, or bequest, will live beyond your own lifetime, and help ensure that hearing impaired New Zealanders will be able to enjoy a full life long into the future.
The National Foundation for the Deaf has grown from humble roots since our formation in 1978. Today, we are a strong and independent voice for the 700,000 New Zealanders who are hearing impaired.
We focus on supporting people with hearing impairment or deafness now and into the future.
We have prepared a two-page information sheet aimed at answering any questions you may have, and helping you prepare for a visit to your lawyer. You can access this here.
If this is your first Will, or you’re in the process of updating it, leaving a gift to charity can be arranged as part of the drafting process.
If you already have a Will and the only change you want to make is to leave something to charity, you can simply add a Codicil. Visit this page for more information.
If you don’t have a Will and are undecided about making one, it’s worth mentioning that if you pass away without a Will your loved ones may face difficulty sorting out your wishes, and what happens may not be what you would expect, or want.
If you would like to discuss your plans with somebody at the Foundation, be assured that you would be doing so in full confidence. Please contact us, and we will get back to you.
