The NFD received funding from the Ministry of Health in 2009 to produce an information pack and sign language DVD for deaf and hearing impaired people, detailing the services and support options provided by Government agencies and other support organisations in New Zealand. The information has been prepared in the English, New Zealand Sign Language, Tongan, Cook Islands Maori and Samoan languages.
