During Deaf Awareness Week 2007 (24-30 September), the NFD urged New Zealanders to protect their hearing so they′ll still enjoy the music in later life.
Sounds of Silence campaign (August 2007)
In September, in conjunction with TVNZ, the NFD ran a Sounds of Silence campaign. Television viewers around the country experienced temporary loss in sound during ad breaks.
